The one spare time activity Irene was most ardent about during her adult life was bingo. Up to five or six years ago she played bingo twice a week, once in the middle of the week and again on Saturday afternoons. Often she went with friends and sometimes her sister, Lillian, of whom she was very fond. Doubtless she enjoyed the company but she also enjoyed dealing with numbers.
